On Thursday, Georgia tight end Heze Kent shared his top 10 school choices on social media, which was formerly known as Twitter. Among his top 10 schools, he included the Texas Longhorns along with several other SEC programs like the Florida Gators, Georgia Bulldogs, and Tennessee Vols. The Longhorns have seen strong offensive performances in recent seasons, particularly with the emergence of Ja’Tavion Sanders, leading to increased interest from tight ends wanting to play in Austin.

As the Longhorns prepare for the 2024 season, they already have one commitment from a tight end hailing from Georgia in the 2025 cycle. Emaree Winston, a four-star prospect and the No. 12 tight end in the country, is set to join the team. Kent, rated as the No. 7 tight end in the country and the No. 17 prospect from Georgia in the 2026 cycle, has named Texas among his top choices.

With only one commitment so far for the 2026 class, the Longhorns secured a commitment from three-star athlete Raycine Guillory on Jan. 20 of this year. Kent’s highlight film was also shared on social media alongside his top 10 school choices. This story was initially featured on Longhorns Wire.
