USC has just landed another top talent from the Peach State pipeline with Rivals250 cornerback Shamar Arnoux committing to the Trojans during the Rivals Five-Star event in Jacksonville. The 6-foot-2 180-pounder from Carrollton High School in Georgia joins his teammate Julian Lewis, who is the No.1 overall player in the Rivals250, in USC’s 2025 recruiting class.

Arnoux cites his genuine relationships with the coaching staff at USC as a key factor in his decision to commit to the Trojans over Florida State and Auburn. Defensive coordinator Doug Belk had offered him a scholarship when he was a sophomore at Houston, and Arnoux was impressed by the opportunity to play in an NFL-style defense under Belk’s guidance. He sees USC as a stepping stone to the NFL, where he hopes to continue playing the game he loves.

Former NFL safety Taylor Mays also played a significant role in Arnoux’s recruitment. The prospect was impressed by the experience and knowledge of the coaching staff at USC, particularly in the defensive backs room. Arnoux feels that he will develop as a player and be well-prepared for a potential professional career under their guidance.
