Georgia football coach Kirby Smart shared insights about the Bulldogs’ rankings in the latest edition of EA Sports College Football 25 at the SEC spring meetings held in Miramar Beach, Florida on May 28, 2024. The Bulldogs have the highest ranked offense with a 94 overall rating, while their defense falls just short of the top spot, ranking second with a 94 rating, two points behind Ohio State.

In terms of offense, Georgia is tied with Oregon for the top spot with a 94 overall rating. They are followed by Alabama, Texas and Ohio State in the Top 5 rankings. On defense, Georgia leads the pack with a 94 rating, ahead of Oregon and other teams in the Top 10 rankings.

Last season, Georgia’s offense averaged 40.1 points per game and 496.5 yards per game, both ranking fifth in the country. On defense, they allowed just 15.6 points per game and 289.1 yards per game, ranking fifth and ninth respectively. Carson Beck will lead the Bulldogs at quarterback this season. The team also boasts additions like running back Trevor Etienne from Florida and standout players like safety Malaki Starks and edge rusher Mykel Williams on defense.

The upcoming EA Sports College Football 25 game is set to release on July 19 and marks the return of college football video games after more than a decade. With Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) rules now in place ,the game can use player names and numbers which adds a new level of authenticity to the gaming experience .
