The Georgia Bulldogs have been ranked as the No. 1 team in Pro Football Focus’s 2024 college football power rankings. This is due to their returning starting quarterback Carson Beck, a talented group of pass catchers, a strong offensive line, and a stacked defense. PFF has given Georgia a 26.5% chance to win the SEC, which now has 16 teams with the additions of Texas and Oklahoma.
However, ESPN’s Football Power Index believes Georgia’s schedule is even more challenging than PFF’s ranking suggests. The Bulldogs have tough road games at Ole Miss and Alabama, as well as their matchup against Texas. Despite this, ESPN still ranks Georgia as the team with the highest chance to win a national championship, with an 18.95% chance that is more than double that of any other team.
