On Thursday, 247Sports made a crystal ball prediction that Nicolas Clayton, a three-star class of 2025 edge rusher, will commit to Florida State. Zach Blostein of Noles247 made the prediction.
Clayton, who hails from Gainesville, Florida, had an impressive junior season at F.W. Buchholz High School. He recorded 51 total tackles, including eight for a loss, as well as 3.0 sacks, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery. Standing at 6-foot-4 and weighing 205 pounds, Clayton is highly sought after by many college football programs across the country.
The Wisconsin Badgers have already secured 20 verbal commitments in their class of 2025, with 12 of them being defensive players. Notable commitments include four-star linebacker Mason Posa from Albuquerque, NM, and three-star cornerback Rukeem Stroud from Tampa, FL. With Clayton’s close proximity to Florida State and his impressive performances on the field, it’s likely that he may choose to become a Seminole.
