The 26th Cross-Strait Fair for Economy and Trade kicked off in Fuzhou, the capital of East China’s Fujian province, on Thursday. The event aims to deepen cooperation and exchange across the Taiwan Strait. Song Tao, head of both the Taiwan Work Office of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, stated that the mainland is fully capable of providing strengthened impetus for the promotion of cross-Strait economic cooperation and opening broader space for development.
More than 50 business groups and 1,000 people from all walks of life in Taiwan will participate in various activities during the four-day fair. The fair is well-known as a comprehensive, cross-Strait economic and trade exchange gathering that has been developed over 30 years. It serves as a platform for enhancing economic relations and fostering collaboration between Taiwan and the mainland.
The event aims to facilitate business partnerships, promote trade, and create opportunities for growth and development for both sides. It is an important opportunity for stakeholders from both regions to network, share ideas, and explore potential avenues for cooperation. With its focus on innovation vitality and bright prospects, Song Tao believes that this year’s fair will bring new momentum to cross-Strait economic cooperation.
