Dubrovnik, Croatia – On Monday, April 3, a fatal traffic accident occurred on the Adriatic highway near Dubrovnik. The accident claimed the lives of Stjepan, 21, and Katarina Đerek, 19. Albanian citizen Klevisa Ymeri, 29 years old, was involved in the accident and illegally overtook a vehicle before colliding head-on with the car carrying the brother and sister.

Ymeri sustained minor injuries in the accident and was taken to the hospital for treatment. She has since been arrested for causing a deadly accident and placed under police surveillance. The defense requested that she be released from detention on a guarantee or precautionary measure, but this request was denied by investigative judge and spokesperson of the County Court in Dubrovnik, Pero Miloglav.
