The new Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Technology concentration at MTSU is groundbreaking and unique. It is the first of its kind in the state and one of only a few in the United States, making it an excellent opportunity for students looking to excel in the rapidly growing field of unmanned aircraft systems.
This program is designed to equip students with the skills needed to succeed in this exciting field. Through hands-on courses, core aerospace courses, and real-world projects with industry partners, students will gain practical experience that will prepare them for diverse career opportunities. Additionally, subjects such as electricity principles, computer science, data science, and geographic information systems (GIS) are covered to provide graduates with a well-rounded education.
Upon completion of this concentration, students will be prepared to pursue careers in a variety of industries, including agriculture, public safety, photography, media, disaster response/management, the power industry, defense department positions and more. The mission of the Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Technology Concentration is to develop the next generation of aerospace professionals by providing them with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary for success in their chosen field.
Furthermore, students living outside of Tennessee may be eligible for in-state tuition when enrolled in this cutting-edge program at MTSU. This means they can save thousands of dollars while pursuing their education in this exciting field.
