On Friday, the Steelers announced that they had signed free agent receiver Jacob Copeland to a one-year contract. Copeland had previously spent time on the Steelers’ practice squad in 2023 after originally signing with the Titans as an undrafted free agent following the 2023 draft. However, Tennessee released him and he later signed with the Vikings during training camp. Unfortunately, Minnesota waived Copeland during the preseason.

Despite these setbacks, Copeland remained determined to pursue his NFL dream and spent time with the Chiefs this offseason. At the University of Maryland in 2022, he recorded 26 receptions for 376 yards and two touchdowns. Prior to that, he played four seasons at the University of Florida, where he contributed 86 receptions for 1,366 yards and nine touchdowns. Now with the Steelers, Copeland is eager to prove himself and make an impact on the field.
