On Friday, the Steelers claimed defensive lineman Willington Previlon off waivers after he was cut by the Falcons. Previlon, a former Rutgers player who went undrafted in 2020, had an impressive college career with 71 tackles, 11.5 tackles for loss, four sacks, and three passes defended.

Previlon started his professional career with the Packers but spent his rookie season on their practice squad. Despite being cut by the Packers in 2021 preseason, Previlon later signed with the Bucs’ practice squad. However, he was released by the Bucs during training camp and found himself on the Cowboys’ practice squad last season.

Now that he has been claimed by the Steelers, Previlon is hoping to finally make his regular-season debut in the NFL. He still has much to prove and is eager to showcase his skills on the field. The Steelers have added a promising young talent to their roster, and fans are excited to see what he can do in black and gold.
