The Techfest Quang Nam 2024, also known as the 5th Creative Startup Week, kicked off on June 6 at March 24 Square in Tam Ky City. This event attracted almost 400 booths displaying innovative startup products and typical OCOPs from various provinces and cities. The theme of the event was “Intellectual Property and Digital Technology – Creative Startup Platform.”
The Deputy Minister of Science and Technology, Hoang Minh, highlighted the rapid development of Vietnam’s startup ecosystem in recent years. He mentioned that Vietnam has made significant progress in the global innovation index and has an increasing number of startups valued over $100 million. The purpose of this event was to connect and promote links between the components of the creative startup ecosystem in Quang Nam province, the Central Highlands region, and throughout the country.
Ho Quang Buu, Acting Chairman of Quang Nam province, emphasized the significance of intellectual property protection and trade connections in today’s digital era. He stated that Quang Nam province has numerous programs and support mechanisms in place to develop intellectual property and digital technology.
Techfest Quang Nam 2024 showcased over 1,000 innovative ideas, startup products, OCOPs, and rural industries. The event included workshops, seminars on entrepreneurship, and the participation of international and Vietnamese startup experts. Its primary objective was to promote the goals of the government’s startup project and launch Quang Nam province’s creative startup movement towards 2030.
