After spending five years with the Sixers, Tobias Harris is now heading back to his hometown of Detroit. The forward has agreed to join the Pistons on a two-year, $52 million deal, as reported by ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
Harris previously played 157 games for the Pistons before joining the Sixers in 2019. During his time in Philadelphia, Harris averaged 17.6 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per game. He also made his mark in team history with 575 made three-pointers, ranking fourth in franchise history.
Despite some solid regular seasons and strong playoff performances, Harris ultimately fell short of helping the Sixers achieve their championship aspirations. However, he served as a mentor to younger players like Tyrese Maxey and Ricky Council IV during his time with the team. Council expressed his gratitude for Harris’ guidance and professionalism, acknowledging the impact the veteran forward had on his development both on and off the court.
