Chet Walker, a seven-time All-Star forward known as “The Jet”, has passed away at the age of 84. He was a key player for the Philadelphia 76ers, helping them win the 1967 NBA title alongside Wilt Chamberlain. Walker later went on to star for the Chicago Bulls, where he was inducted into the Ring of Honor as a true Bulls icon.

Throughout his 13 seasons in the NBA, Walker averaged 18.2 points and 7.1 rebounds per game. He was a consistent performer, leading his teams to the playoffs every year of his career. In 2012, Walker was inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame for his contributions to the game.

Born in Mississippi and raised in Michigan, Walker played college basketball at Bradley University in Illinois. As a two-time All-American, he helped the team win the 1960 NIT championship. His jersey was retired by the school in 1976, recognizing his impact on the program.
