Jamie Foxx has been tight-lipped about the medical issue that caused him to become incapacitated and underwent months of recovery. Last year, the actor suffered a “medical complication,” as his daughter revealed, but the specifics of what happened have not been disclosed to the public.

In an exclusive interview with Gossipofthecity, Foxx admitted that he had asked a friend for an Advil due to a headache and then passed out for 20 days. He stated that he didn’t remember anything during that time. A doctor reportedly informed him that there was something wrong with his head, but he chose not to elaborate further.

The incident occurred on April 11 last year while Foxx was working in Georgia on a Netflix film titled “Back in Action.” Despite initial reports suggesting that he was on a movie set and required an ambulance to take him to the hospital, it is now known that Foxx was not on a set and did not need an emergency vehicle.

During a special Critics Choice award event in December, Jamie Foxx discussed his health struggles. He expressed how challenging it was to go through such an experience and reflected on a newfound appreciation for life and his art.

Currently, Jamie Foxx co-hosts the show “Beat Shazam” alongside his daughter Corinne. Despite his ordeal, the actor seems to be recovering well and continuing his work in the entertainment industry.
