The former Raiders first-rounder, Henry Ruggs, is currently serving a three-to-10-year prison sentence after causing a fatal accident in November 2021. While driving under the influence and at a high rate of speed, Ruggs collided with 23-year-old Tina Tintor and her dog, resulting in their deaths.

Despite being drafted in 2020 as the 12th overall pick by the Raiders, Ruggs’ promising career was derailed by his actions. At 25 years old, he will be eligible for parole in August 2026. Currently, Ruggs is working as a community trusty outside the Stewart Conservation Camp at the Nevada governor’s mansion. This classification is due to his perceived low risk of misbehavior and escape while working within the community. About four other inmates are also assigned to the governor’s mansion alongside Ruggs.
