At the latest State of Play for PlayStation, several exciting announcements were made regarding upcoming titles in 2024 and 2025. The event showcased around 13 games that will be available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation VR2, and PC platforms.
One of the highlights was Concord, a multiplayer first-person shooter developed by Firewalk Studios. Players will take on the role of mercenary gunmen known as Freegunners who accept high-risk assignments in Wild space worlds. The game will offer five-on-five adventures set in the Concord galaxy on PS5 and PC in August of this year.
Another highly anticipated title is the remake of Silent Hill 2, developed by Bloober Team, which has a scheduled release date of October 8 on PS5 and Steam. Additionally, Capcom presented new images and gameplay footage of Monster Hunter Wilds, set to launch in 2025, featuring new characters and monsters.
Skydance Games presented Skydance’s Behemoth, a first-person action and adventure game for PS VR2 set to be released in the fall. Another VR title, Alien: Roge Incursion, is an action and horror game expected to arrive on PS VR2 in Christmas 2024.
Path of Exile 2, Marvel Rivals, God of War Ragnarok for PC, Ballad of Antara, and Infinity Nikki were also showcased during the event. These upcoming games promise a variety of new experiences for players across different platforms and genres.
Other announcements included a new Astro Bot adventure, a remake of Until Dawn, and the upcoming release of Dinasty Warriors: Origins in 2025. Omega Force also revealed a new installment of the game series set in the battlefield of the Three Kingdoms.
