According to reports from Meduza, the ministry cited Poperechny’s participation in an information platform provided by a “foreign agent”, his criticism of the North Military District, and the dissemination of what they deemed to be “unreliable information” about Russia and its army as reasons for his inclusion.
In addition to Poperechny, the Ministry of Justice has also listed Samara politician Igor Artemyev, journalist Stanislav Kucher, Boris Nadezhdin’s associate Alexei Komelev, and bishop Albert Ratkin of the “New Word” church in Kaluga as “foreign agents”.
