Phillip Dorsett, a tenth-year wide receiver wearing No. 13, is the subject of Broncos Wire’s offseason roster series. Before joining the Broncos, Dorsett was a first-round pick from the University of Miami who began his career with the Indianapolis Colts in 2015. During his time with the Colts, he recorded 51 receptions for 753 yards and three touchdowns.

In 2017, Dorsett was traded to the New England Patriots in exchange for Jacoby Brissett, where he accumulated 73 receptions for 881 yards and eight touchdowns over three seasons. In 2020, Dorsett signed with the Seattle Seahawks but missed the entire season due to a foot injury. Since then, he has rotated between the Jacksonville Jaguars, Seahawks, and Houston Texans. In 2022, Dorsett had 20 receptions for 257 yards and one touchdown with the Texans. He participated in training camp with the Las Vegas Raiders in 2023 but did not make the final roster.

Dorsett’s best chance of remaining with the team would likely be on the practice squad as Denver signed him to their practice squad last summer before elevating him to the game-day roster twice. As the Broncos have a crowded wide receiver depth chart, Dorsett faces long odds of making the 53-man roster in 2024.
