This year, Texas Lutheran University is hosting their annual Chemistry CHAOS Night, which promises to be a fun and interactive event for all ages. Led by Dr. Alison Bray, professor and chair of the chemistry department at TLU, attendees will have the chance to engage in hands-on experiments that showcase the processes involved in food and cooking science.

From making biopolymers to conducting candy chromatograph and tasting liquid nitrogen ice cream, visitors will be able to experience chemistry in a new and exciting way. The event is themed around The Chemistry of Food and Cooking this year, so attendees can learn about the science behind the foods we eat every day.

Kids of all ages, from kindergarten through high school, as well as adults, are welcome to attend and participate in the evening of CHAOS. The event will take place at the Jackson Park’s Student Activities Center from 6 to 8 p.m., and it’s free and open to the public. The Pi Rho Chemistry Club at TLU is hosting the event with the aim of educating and inspiring the community to learn more about the science of food and cooking.

If you’re interested in attending this unique event, make sure to mark your calendars for June 1st at 6 PM in Jackson Park’s Student Activities Center. With its focus on hands-on learning experiences, fun activities, and engaging with experts in the field of chemistry related to food and cooking, Chemistry CHAOS Night is not an event you won’t want to miss!
