Burnley has been left without a manager after Vincent Kompany’s surprise move to Bayern Munich. Despite being offered a role at Bayern, Craig Bellamy will not be joining his former assistant and friend in Germany.

First-team coach Mike Jackson, who had a successful spell as caretaker manager at the end of the previous season, will remain at Burnley. However, other members of Kompany’s coaching team will be joining him at Bayern.

Burnley recognized Bayern’s interest in Kompany a few weeks ago and ultimately decided not to stand in his way. The club stated that they were initially confident in retaining their manager but understood the appeal of a club like Bayern Munich and respected Kompany’s ambition to explore new opportunities.

Now, Burnley is looking for a new manager as they aim for an immediate return to the Premier League. Craig Bellamy may still be considered as a candidate for the job.
