David Aguilar was a child who spent his childhood building with Lego bricks. While others made model airplanes and miniature toy towns, David used the plastic bricks to create functional life-size prosthetic arms. This unique hobby was born out of necessity, as David was diagnosed with Poland syndrome at birth, which left him with partially developed muscles and without a right forearm.

Growing up, David faced bullying at school due to his physical difference, which led him to retreat into his bedroom and immerse himself in building with Lego. It was through this escape that he built his first prosthetic arm. When he shared his creation with his schoolmates, they were amazed and speechless, boosting David’s confidence. He continued to refine his creations, with each new version offering more functionality or comfort.

Realizing the potential impact of his inventions, David began sharing his knowledge by posting a prosthetic arm tutorial on YouTube to help others facing similar challenges. This experience has been life-changing for David, leading him to earn a Guinness World Record and become a speaker at conferences worldwide. Through his creations and story, David aims to inspire others and contribute to making the world a better place.
