Senegal forward Iliman Ndiaye has joined Everton FC on a five-year contract from Marseille for around £15m. The 24-year-old forward scored four goals in 46 games for Marseille last season and helped the French club reach the Europa League semi-finals.

Ndiaye originally signed with Sheffield United from non-league side Boreham Wood in 2019 and had previously been part of the Marseille academy before moving to Senegal, his father’s home country. He is Everton’s third signing of the summer, following the return of winger Jack Harrison on loan from Leeds and the permanent move of central midfielder Tim Iroegbunam from Aston Villa.

Manager Sean Dyche expressed his excitement about the addition of Ndiaye, citing his youth, experience at European and international levels, and positive impact on the squad. Sheffield United reluctantly accepted a reported £20m offer for Ndiaye after his impressive performance with 14 goals and 11 assists in their promotion-winning 2022-23 season.

Ndiaye is grateful for the opportunity to join Everton and mentioned the club’s size, history, and role he can play in their future direction. With 20 international appearances under his belt, Ndiaye looks forward to contributing to the team’s success and exciting Everton fans with his attacking potential.

Director of football Kevin Thelwell praised Ndiaye’s quality and expressed confidence in his ability to enhance Everton’s attacking potential.
