On June 29, Gunnery Sergeant Craig Wooten, a United States Marine, and his wife went to Los Angeles International Airport to pick up two dogs he had rescued while deployed in the Eastern European nation of Georgia. Latte and Biscuit, both battling canine parvovirus, were nursed back to health by Wooten, giving them a second chance at life after losing their siblings to the infection.

The American serviceman took the pups to the vet daily and provided them with care until they were healthy. The reunion was made possible by SPCA International’s Patriot Pets Program, which has successfully reunited over 1,200 servicemembers with their furry companions.

As soon as they arrived at the airport, Latte and Biscuit joyfully greeted their new owners and explored their fresh surroundings. It was clear that they were loving their new life right away. Thanks to Wooten’s dedication and SPCA International’s Patriot Pets Program, these two dogs were able to find a loving forever home.
