After visiting Houston and Texas Tech officially the past two weekends, with an unofficial visit to Oregon in between, highly touted defensive back Jacob Bradford from Catholic High in Baton Rouge, Louisiana has committed to the Cougers.
Louisiana has been a hotbed for recruiting for coach Willie Fritz and his staff, especially following their success at Tulane. Fritz began recruiting Bradford during his time at Tulane and continued his pursuit after moving to Houston. Bradford expressed his trust in the coaching staff and their ability to bring out the best in their athletes.
Bradford is part of a talented group of recruits from Louisiana in the Cougars’ 2025 recruiting class. With the team gaining momentum this summer, Bradford is excited about the future in Houston and the potential for success.
Measuring in at 6 feet and 190 pounds with a verified 4.4 40-yard dash time, Bradford played a key role in Catholic High’s state title victory last season. Despite strong interest from Texas Tech, Bradford ultimately chose Houston over other schools such as Vanderbilt and Oregon.
