In the lead-up to the 2024 NBA Draft, there was no clear standout pick, but France once again had a strong presence. Following Victor Wembanyama’s selection as the top pick in the previous year’s draft, this year saw four French players get chosen on the first night.

Zaccharie Risacher went first overall to Atlanta, followed by Alex Sarr going second to the Wizards. The draft also featured college standouts like Reed Sheppard from Kentucky, Donovan Clingan from UConn, and Zach Edey from Purdue getting selected early in the first round.

While there weren’t many surprises in the first round, SEC Player of the Year Dalton Knecht from Tennessee was picked 17th overall by the Los Angeles Lakers. The NBA Draft this year is spread out over two days, with the second round scheduled for 4 p.m. ET on Thursday. Fans can catch all of the action on ABC or ESPN and stream it on Fubo or ESPN+.
