Fox Sports is set for two significant international soccer tournaments, with the UEFA Euro 2024 kickoff occurring this afternoon as Germany takes on Scotland. This tournament will feature a record-breaking 78 matches over 30 consecutive days, with coverage spanning across Fox, FS1, and FS2. The Copa America begins on June 20th, with matches played during late afternoon windows and in primetime.

Zac Kenworthy, VP/Production at Fox Sports, shared his enthusiasm about the unprecedented number of matches being broadcast this summer. The studio coverage will be anchored from Fox Studio Lot A in L.A., with a broadcast team in Germany calling every Euros match from inside the stadiums. This concentrated effort from Fox Sports allows them to make use of cutting-edge technology such as AR and XR to enhance storytelling with new graphics and imagery.

For the first time since acquiring the rights, Fox Sports will air the Euros after Disney had been holding it since 2008. The tournament’s coverage will feature a “Soccer Palace” that showcases the advanced technology and resources available to Fox Sports for this summer’s soccer tournaments. The goal is to provide viewers with a unique and engaging experience while watching the matches.
