Nebraska’s Big Ten opener against Illinois Fighting Illini has been moved from September 21 to a Friday night showdown in Lincoln. The Fox College Football Friday schedule for the 2024 season features one Big 12 game, nine Big Ten games, and one Mountain West Conference matchup.
The schedule kicks off on September 13 with Arizona Wildcats visiting Kansas State Wildcats in Big 12 action. One week later, on September 20, Nebraska will host the Fighting Illini in Lincoln with a 7:00 p.m. local time kickoff. This will be Nebraska’s only game this season to be played on a Friday night.
Following the Nebraska-Illinois matchup, the Fox College Football Friday schedule continues with Washington Huskies traveling to Rutgers on September 27 and Oregon hosting Michigan State on October 4. Rutgers and Oregon are among the six Big Ten programs with two Friday night games on the schedule, with the Ducks playing two games in three weeks.
In October, Northwestern will face Maryland on October 11, followed by Oregon playing against Purdue and Rutgers facing USC. In November, Iowa will play UCLA on November 8, with the Bruins then going on to face the Washington Huskies on November 15. The final Big Ten game on the Fox College Football Friday schedule is Purdue at Michigan State on November 22.
The schedule wraps up with a Big 12 matchup between Utah and UCF on November 29 in Orlando, followed by the Mountain West Championship game on Friday, December 6
