Sarah Becker, a former cast member of MTV’s “The Real World” in Miami during its fifth season, has sadly taken her own life at the age of 52. The news was reported by TMZ. Becker passed away at her home in Illinois while she was there to support her ill mother and sister.

In the months leading up to her passing, it was revealed that Becker had been struggling with her mental health. Despite this, she had plans to return to California. One of Becker’s former castmates, Dan Renzi, shared on Instagram that he hadn’t been in touch with her since their time on the show in 1996, so he was unaware of her struggles. Renzi expressed his sadness over the news and mentioned the unique bond created among the cast members during their intense experience on the show.

Another former castmate of Becker’s, Flora Alekseyeun, remembered her as a selfless and kind individual who always helped others. Alekseyeun had lost touch with Becker in recent years and was shocked to learn of her troubles. She offered her condolences to Becker’s family and hoped that Becker could find peace and relief from pain.
