Deandre Baker, a former Georgia Bulldogs star cornerback, recently tried out for the Dallas Cowboys as he looks to make a comeback to the NFL. After playing for the DC Defenders in the UFL this spring, Baker recorded 22 total tackles and a forced fumble for the Defenders this season. Along with cornerback Gaeron Conley, Baker worked out for Dallas, hoping to earn a training camp invitation at just 26 years old.

Having been a first-round pick for the New York Giants in the 2019 NFL draft, Baker is a talented player with a promising future in the league. Despite facing setbacks such as being released by the Kansas City Chiefs in 2022, Baker remains determined to showcase his skills and potentially secure a spot on an NFL roster once again.

It’s worth noting that there are currently over 60 Georgia Bulldogs alumni in the NFL, highlighting the successful track record of players produced by Georgia football head coach Kirby Smart. With an impressive number of former Bulldogs players making their mark in the league, Smart’s ability to develop talent continues to attract attention from pro teams looking for skilled and reliable players. The pipeline of talent from Georgia to the NFL appears strong, with no signs of slowing down.
