John Ross, a former Cincinnati Bengals first-round pick, has signed a one-year deal with the Philadelphia Eagles after coming out of retirement. Ross announced his retirement in 2023 after a brief stint with the Kansas City Chiefs and has not played in an NFL game since 2021. Known as one of the biggest draft busts in Bengals history, Ross was selected with the ninth overall pick in the 2017 NFL draft, one spot ahead of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

Ross entered the league known for his elite speed, running a 4.22-second 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine, which is still the second fastest in history at the event. During his time with the Bengals, Ross recorded 51 catches for 733 yards and 10 touchdowns. His best season came in 2019 when he had 28 catches for 506 yards and three touchdowns.
