The Foreign Ministers of Germany and Azerbaijan, Analena Berbock and Jeyhun Bayramov, had a telephone conversation on Friday to discuss the peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan. According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, the ministers talked about various topics including current relations and prospects between Baku and Berlin, the situation in the South Caucasus, as well as the peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
During their meeting with Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan on May 10-11 in Almaty, Bayramov shared details of their discussions about the differences between Azerbaijan and Armenia within the framework of the peace process. The ministers emphasized the need for continued negotiations to achieve lasting peace. They also discussed the issue of Armenian-Azerbaijani border demarcation, including Armenia’s return of four villages to Azerbaijan.
