Foodora, the German delivery company, has announced plans to close its grocery online store in Finland. The company is currently engaged in change negotiations with 80 employees as there are seven Foodora Market stores in the country.

The decision to close the online store was made by Anni Ahngerin, the manager of Foodora Market. The closure is influenced by factors such as consumer price awareness and market conditions in Finland. However, the company will continue to offer groceries through partners on its application.

Foodora Markets will close in Finland, but they will continue to operate in other countries as usual. The company is also experimenting with an innovative partnership with the S group that allows customers to order goods from stores in Oulu and Kuopio via Foodora. This partnership aims to offer daily goods through similar arrangements in the future.

Despite reporting losses in its Finnish operations, Foodora remains focused on exploring opportunities for growth and profitability in the online grocery market. As part of the Delivery Hero group, Foodora has access to a global network of delivery services and expertise that can help it succeed in this competitive marketplace.
