Keedran Franklin, the owner of Pizza Dis Pizza Dat food truck, has been providing food options for Memphians for years. However, following a late-night robbery that left almost everything stolen from his truck, he is now facing the challenge of rebuilding from scratch.

Franklin expressed his feelings of anger and sadness upon discovering that several items had been taken, including his mixing bowl. This unfortunate turn of events occurred just after he had secured a 1-year residency position for his food truck at Overton Park Shell, which was a testament to his impact on the community and culture in Memphis.

Despite his frustration over the theft and setback it has caused, Franklin acknowledged that the issue runs deeper than just property crime. He emphasized the importance of creating a more stable economic future for Memphis, where everyone has enough to prevent incidents like thefts and break-ins.

In response to the robbery, a Go Fund Me campaign was launched by the director of Overton Park Shell to help Franklin replace the stolen items and get his food truck back on track. Franklin remains hopeful for a better economic outlook for Memphis, where such incidents are less common and everyone in the community can thrive.
