I recently had the pleasure of experiencing Turkish Airlines’ business class for a 22-hour flight, which included a visit to their Istanbul airport lounge during a layover. The food served on both the flights and at the lounge exceeded my expectations, and overall, it was an exceptional experience.

One of the things that made this trip stand out was the comfort of the seats. For me, flying business class is a luxury that I enjoy, but I usually try to upgrade using frequent-flyer miles and credit-card points rather than purchasing seats directly due to the high costs involved. However, recent data shows that flying business class has become slightly more affordable compared to previous years, even as economy class fares continue to rise.

This particular experience with Turkish Airlines involved using points to book a business-class flight from the Maldives to Los Angeles. The flight, which included one layover, would have cost me over $4,690 if I had paid in cash. Overall, it was an excellent way to travel in comfort while keeping my expenses down.
