Florida State’s baseball team has just made history with a 24-4 victory over UConn in the opening Super Regional game. This win secured their spot in Omaha for the College World Series, making them the first team to do so this season. In Game 1, FSU had a record-breaking day, hitting five home runs and scoring 24 runs. They continued their strong performance in Game 2, with ACC Player of the Year James Tibbs III hitting three home runs in a 10-8 win in 12 innings. The College World Series features eight teams split into two groups of four, playing in a double-elimination tournament format. The winners from each group will advance to the CWS championship series, which is a best-of-3 format to determine the national champion.
