In June, Finnish private investors were highly active in the stock market, with a particular focus on companies that had experienced significant price drops throughout the year. According to Nordnet’s trading statistics, Neste and Nvidia were the most popular choices among investors in the country.

Neste, a domestic stock, remained the most traded and net-purchased stock among Nordnet’s Finnish customers for the third consecutive month. Despite a 47% drop in price since January, investors saw an opportunity to buy more shares as the stock fell just 14% in June.

On the foreign stock front, Nvidia was the standout performer of June, with net purchases amounting to 14.9 million euros during the month. Investors were drawn to the American chip designer due to its strong financial performance and growth potential.

Aside from Neste and Nvidia, other popular Finnish stocks among investors included Premature, Outokumpu, and Nokian Tires. These stocks offered stable dividends and had not experienced as much volatility compared to other stocks in the market. On the other hand, stocks like CombiWorks and Nordea saw more selling activity due to their poor financial performance.

Overall, Finnish investors were strategic in their stock purchases, focusing on companies that paid strong dividends and offered growth potential while also transferring funds from undervalued stocks to those that had lost value due to market fluctuations. Despite market volatility, investors remained active in trading stocks, funds, and ETFs.
