The Finger Lakes VA Healthcare System’s Mental Health APRN Residency program aims to provide clinical experience in managing mental health conditions affecting the Veteran population. It focuses on enhancing diagnostic, psychiatric medication management, and psychotherapy skills, as well as developing strong interprofessional collaboration and Veteran-centric care expertise.

The program’s mission is to prepare mental health Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRN’s) to deliver high-quality care for Veterans, including those in rural and underserved patient populations. Eligible applicants are encouraged to apply for the program with a deadline of March 8, 2024.
