Ferrari, a renowned Italian luxury sports car manufacturer, is set to launch its first electric vehicle (EV) at the new e-building that recently opened its doors. The company’s CEO, Benedetto Vigna, stated that the company’s first fully electric sports car will be manufactured at the e-building along with next-generation hybrids and internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles.

The new factory is powered entirely by renewable energy sources and expected to enhance Ferrari’s future by enabling it to push boundaries of what is achievable. The investment made by Ferrari in this cutting-edge building is approximately $214 million (200 million euros), which has made this dream facility a reality. The company mentions that the newly opened plant will improve efficiency and flexibility through its operations.

Ferrari’s upcoming EV sports car will be constructed at the e-building, along with batteries, electric motors, and inverters for Ferrari’s EV lineup. The starting price of this vehicle is reportedly at least $535,000 (500,000 euros). Reports also suggest that Ferrari is working on developing a second electric vehicle that will also be manufactured at the new e-building.

Luxury automaker Lamborghini has already revealed its first electric car, the Lanzador EV, and plans to launch it in 2028. While Ferrari is electrifying its brand with EVs and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs), Lamborghini has already taken an early lead in this space. Stay tuned for more details on these exciting developments as both companies continue to push boundaries in their respective industries.
