Fenerbahce have reportedly started negotiations with Jose Mourinho for their head coach role. The Istanbul-based club made the negotiations public on a disclosure platform, marking the beginning of a potential partnership. The previous coach Ismail Kartal was let go by Fenerbahce after his team finished three points behind city rivals Galatasaray in the league last season.

Mourinho’s impressive resume of eight league trophies in various countries is expected to strengthen the team if negotiations are successful. The experienced manager has won major European trophies, including the Champions League with Inter Milan and Porto, and recently led Roma to the Europa Conference League title in 2022. Despite this, he was replaced as Roma boss in January due to the team’s performance.

Fenerbahce, with 28 Turkish championships under their belt, are aiming to reclaim the title after finishing runners-up in the past three seasons. Mourinho’s wealth of experience and track record of success make him a valuable asset for any team looking to achieve greatness in the future. While negotiations continue, Mourinho is set to make an appearance as a pundit on TNT Sports during the Champions League final.
