A desperate father, Roman G., is pleading for his missing nine-year-old daughter Valeriia to be returned. The girl vanished on her way to school in Döbeln, Saxony on Monday, leaving her father with a deep sense of anguish and uncertainty.
Roman G., who is fighting against Putin’s troops in Ukraine, believes that his daughter has been kidnapped. He fled from Ukraine with his mother and grandmother before the war and settled in Saxony. Roman G. stayed behind to fight for his country while his family sought refuge in Germany.
When he received news of Valeriia’s disappearance, he was granted permission to travel to Germany and is currently waiting for his papers to join the search. In a heartfelt message to the kidnapper, Roman G. expressed his anguish over the situation and recalled their last phone call where Valeriia shared her excitement over school grades and plans for summer holidays.
Roman G.’s ex-wife Nadia had a difficult marriage that ended in divorce in 2023 despite facing challenges together they always prioritized their children’s wellbeing. Roman G joined the army to help protect his country but now finds himself unable to protect his own daughter.
The German police are investigating all possible leads including the possibility of kidnapping as they have questioned family acquaintances abroad and conducted thorough searches in the city but Valeriia remains missing prompting continued efforts to locate her as her father desperately awaits news of her whereabouts.
