The second event of the 2023/2024 Winter Season, the Canmore World Cup, is taking place today, Saturday, February 10th in Canada. The event features a sprint race in freestyle technique and has attracted elite national skiers from around the world.

Johannes Høsflot Klæbo (NOR) clocked the fastest time in the sprint qualifier, with a time of 2:22.87. The top 30 skiers qualified for the sprint finals at the Canmore World Cup, which starts at 21:30 CET.

The men’s sprint final will feature some of the fastest skiers in the world, including Klæbo, Michael Hellweger (ITA), Lucas Chanavat (FRA), Lauri Vuorinen (FIN), James Clinton Schoonmaker (USA), Edvin Anger (SWE), Federico Pellegrino (ITA), Håvard Solås Taugbøl (NOR), Joni Maki (FIN), and Niilo Moilanen (FIN).

The Canmore World Cup is being held from Friday, February 9th to Tuesday, February 13th and will feature various events including the 15km Mass Start Freestyle for Women and Men, Sprint Freestyle for Women and Men, 20km Mass Start Classic for Women and Men, and Sprint Classic for Women and Men.
