Bob’s Stores, a discount clothing and shoe retailer with a nearly 70-year history of serving local communities, is closing all its locations and liquidating all inventory as part of a Chapter 11 restructuring petition filed on June 18. The stores will close by July 14 and will offer going-out-of-business sales with discounts of 30-70% on workwear, footwear, team wear, and everyday clothing. Additionally, store fixtures, furniture, and equipment will also be for sale during the liquidation event.

Despite efforts to make changes to the company’s structure and operations, Bob’s Stores was unable to secure the finances needed to maintain operations. The liquidation event will be managed by Hilco Merchant Resources and Gordon Brothers, and will include all 21 stores throughout Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York
