Texas Rangers superfans Jesse and Angela Gonzales are celebrating the 2023 World Series with a festive holiday display that honors their favorite team. Their home on Wisdom Way in North Richland Hills is decked out in lights, but instead of the usual reindeer and Santa’s sleigh, scenes from the World Series fill their driveway.
“Oh, the reaction…it’s been phenomenal,” said Jesse Gonzales. “We’ve had people come by every single day, and I walk out here and talk to a lot of big Ranger fans.” The couple has been Texas Rangers superfans since their first date at a game, and they couldn’t wait to combine their usual enormous holiday light show with the highlight of every Texan’s year.
Their entire display is choreographed to Post Malone’s song “Congratulations,” featuring giant LED screens showing iconic moments from the series, jerseys on skeletons, and even a projection of the final pitch of the World Series. The family says it was certainly their year to “Go and take it,” hoping more people stop by before their real Christmas decorations go up on Dec. 1st.
“I want them to experience the joy, you know, the Rangers win the World Series,” said Jesse Gonzales. “Reliving that day, that moment again…I want them to just feel welcomed.”
