In Bend, fall is a busy season for youth sports activities, and the Bend Park and Recreation District is preparing for its youth fall sports programs. Parents and guardians are encouraged to sign up their children now for programs such as youth soccer, kindergarten soccer, flag football, and middle school tennis.

Registration deadlines for fall youth sport programs are as follows: youth soccer (Grades 1st-8th) – July 8 or until full, kindergarten soccer – July 8 or until full, flag football (Grades 1st-8th) – July 29 or until full, and middle school tennis – August 13 or until full. These sport programs focus on participation and skill-building in a fun, recreational environment and recreation scholarships are available.

Becky Rexford, sports programs manager, stated that fall is one of the busiest seasons for youth sports activities in Bend. To make sure that children can enjoy great autumn Saturdays and Sundays, parents and guardians need to be aware of the registration deadlines in July and August.
