FalComics, the annual festival dedicated to comics and pop culture, concluded its 2024 edition with great success in Falconara Marittima from May 24th to 26th. Organized by LEG Live Emotion Group under the initiative of Mayor Stefania Signorini, the event drew over 235,000 visitors of all ages from various parts of Italy.
Mayor Signorini expressed her satisfaction with the event, noting that the festival managed to exceed expectations and engage the entire city through a larger exhibition area spanning from 64,000 to 98,000 m2. The success of FalComics was attributed to the collaborative effort of various associations, schools, commercial operators, and beach operators alongside significant contributions from artistic director Gianluca DelCarlo and other team members.
This year’s theme “OPEN MIND” was brought to life through numerous activities, events, and the creation of a “living manifesto” painted by Paolo Barbieri and Sonia Ricci. With over 20 national partners, 100 events, 13 thematic areas, and more than 100 total guests, FalComics has cemented itself as a prominent fixture among sector fairs.
FalComics addressed current issues such as cyberbullying and gender violence through discussions led by experts like Stefano Rossi and Fabio Viola. Live musical performances featuring prominent artists like Cristina Scabbia and Mal further enriched the festival experience. Special tribute concerts such as that by Cristina D’Avena and Gem Boy highlighted the timeless appeal of TV theme songs and their ability to connect people across generations.
The festival also saw increased participation from partners and media outlets further solidifying its position as a leading national festival in the pop culture sphere. The event part of CFC circuit of LEG Live Emotion Group curated a diverse program that resonated with attendees of all ages.
