Our workspace is filled with lighter-toned rocks that resemble those found at Whitebark Pass. These rocks are currently the focus of our scientific research, and we are excited to explore them further during the upcoming long weekend.

MAHLI and APXS equipment are being used to examine two specific targets known as ‘Gray Peak’ and ‘Snow Lakes.’ ChemCam is also actively involved in studying three LIBS points – ‘Beck Lakes,’ ‘Ten Lakes,’ and ‘Pohono Bridge.’ Additionally, Mastcam is capturing two large mosaics of Whitebark Pass to study its overall topography and texture. Furthermore, Mastcam is turning its attention to the nearby bedrock along the channel wall.

With ample time for exploration ahead, we are fully immersed in scientific investigations. The light-toned rocks may be scattered around, but our focus remains on understanding their properties and composition through advanced technology and detailed observations. We look forward to sharing our findings with the world soon!
