The Cambridge Science Centre has recently moved to a permanent location on the Cambridge Science Park, where it offers 20 interactive experiments and installations for young visitors. The charity, which has been around for a decade, aims to inspire children and cultivate a lifelong interest in Stem subjects (science, engineering, technology, and mathematics).

CEO John Bull emphasized the importance of showing children that science can be fun and enjoyable, encouraging them to explore, experiment, and learn from their failures. By providing hands-on exhibits covering a wide range of Stem topics, the centre hopes to spark curiosity and excitement in its young visitors.

The move to the Science Park’s Trinity Centre allows the Cambridge Science Centre to be surrounded by 70 cutting-edge Stem companies, providing a stimulating environment for both staff and visitors. With a focus on creating opportunities for all children, regardless of barriers they may face, the centre aims to inspire the next generation of scientists and researchers.

Mario Satchwell, the science communicator at the centre, highlighted the joy of sharing the wonders of science with children and witnessing their excitement and curiosity. With a dedication to sparking a love for science and encouraging children to dream of a future in the field
