BriarPatch Food Co-op Auburn is hosting a four-part Eating for Health series in June 2024. Nutrition Consultant Jacqui Meehan will lead each session, diving deep into topics of whole food nutrition. The series begins with Foundations of Nutrition on June 5th, offering an overview of how “Eating for Health” is more than a diet, but a lifestyle focused on local, organic, seasonal, and unprocessed foods.

The second session on June 12th will cover Protein and Fats, helping attendees identify good sources of these nutrients and discussing the importance of incorporating them into their diet. On June 19th, the focus will be on Carbohydrates, exploring how they are one of the primary fuels for our bodies. The final session on June 26th will address Allergy-Free Eating, discussing common food triggers for allergies and providing options for a hypoallergenic diet.

According to Katee Gustavson, BriarPatch Food Co-op Community Engagement Coordinator, the Eating for Health series is a great opportunity for anyone looking to make more informed food choices. Registration is open to all
