The John Wesley Institute hosted the Mere Methodism Conference, bringing together distinguished scholars and church leaders from various Wesleyan backgrounds to explore the rich history of our faith. From April 4-6, attendees gathered at the iconic Lyceum in Alexandria, Virginia to delve into the wisdom and contributions of devoted followers of Jesus Christ who have paved the way for us.

One of the highlights of the conference was a speech delivered by Dr. Jason Vickers on the Church’s role in the economy of salvation. Vickers is Professor of Christian Theology and holds the William J. Abraham Chair of Wesleyan Studies at Baylor University’s Truett Theological Seminary.

The conference aimed to guide us towards a steadfast future in our faith, and more talks and discussions from the event will be shared on the John Wesley Institute YouTube channel in upcoming days. For those interested, podcast audio recordings of the event are accessible on IRD’s SoundCloud account.
