The Chicago Bulls are looking to shake things up this summer and build a stronger roster. Their main goal is to add more win-now talent in order to remain competitive in the league. One potential trade target that has been mentioned by Grant Hughes of Bleacher Report is Brandon Ingram.

Ingram has one year left on his contract before becoming a free agent in 2025, which could be beneficial for the Bulls. Hughes proposed a trade scenario where the Bulls would send Zach LaVine, who has three years left on his contract, to the New Orleans Pelicans in exchange for a one-year trial with Ingram. This trade would allow the Bulls to evaluate how well Ingram fits with DeMar DeRozan and Coby White.

If things work out and Ingram performs at an All-Star level, the Bulls can sign him to a new deal. However, if things don’t go as planned, they would have freed themselves from LaVine’s contract without significantly impacting their standing in the league. Adding Ingram’s scoring ability to replace DeRozan, who may be leaving in free agency, would be a welcome addition as Ingram is only 26 years old.
